A Powerful Relationship

Making A Change

As a Mom & former School Counselor I was touched by the article,  “10 Things Self-Loving People Do Differently” from Marc and Angel Hack Life.   “The most powerful relationship you will ever have is the relationship with yourself”….this qoute from the article reminded me of my School Counseling days; however now it was hitting home.   I believe there are many connections in our lives that shape who we are.  The connections with our faith, our family, our friends and especially within ourselves.  Reading this was a reminder of how important it is to appreciate & love oneself in order to live a healthy life.

During this season of my life I am finding myself re-educating & re-evaluating my passions, my goals and my own self-awareness.  I have always felt that one’s self-talk is the catalyst to any type of growth in life.  “10 Things Self-Loving People Do Differently” definitely addresses how we evaluate our strengths & weaknesses and how we can empower ourselves to move forward and create change.

Are you in a new season of your life where you are ready for a change?  If so, how are you adapting & what tips can you share? I would love to hear from you!

Congratulations on your new season. I think it’s very important to love yourself and so glad you value that. So many people, women especially do so much for others and often neglect to give back to themselves. It’s important for myself to rejuvenate myself so I can continue to give back to others (i.e. Jehovah, God, my family, my friends, my community). #laceyslegacy

Love this. I too am at a point and ready for a little change. For me, however, it’s a bit different. I feel pretty content with my relationship with myself but would like to put in more energy into my relationship with my husband.

Madaline, I am with you there. I am definitely in a season where my kiddos are older & I can begin to connect more with the Hubs. Sometimes, in my house, I get into the daily “house & to-do list talk” that I forget to take time to connect with my him. I am really trying to work on more date-nights even if it is a date to the grocery store. LOL! Thanks so much for stopping by A.I.M.! Wishing you the best in your own beautiful relationship! 🙂

Oh, it’s SO important. This is so key and far too often, we forget it. Know yourself, love yourself, and be your own best friend and cheerleader!
