Lent begins on Wednesday, February 18th & recently my very dear friend shared this article with me, 40 Things to Give Up for Lent. Every year I jokingly say to myself, “I will try to give up chocolate for Lent.” Although, I have never allowed myself to muster up the willpower to participate in such an event. However, the dedication and clarity from removing the little (or big) things in one’s life to provide religious & personal clarity has always inspired me. This article was very touching because it focused on creating and rebuilding one’s faith and personal outlook while removing the “bad habits” or thoughts in our lives. From “Fear of Failure” to “Overcommitment” the article gives you one thing to remove each day for 40 days. Such a wonderful challenge to create reflection & personal change.
