September 6, 2015
Celebrate "National Read A Book Day" with Lily the Unicorn.

Let’s Read A Good Book!

Did you know that today is “National Read A Book Day”?

So, I decided to share something my kiddos have read so we can pass on the joy of reading.

Over the summer we received Lily the Unicorn by Dallas Clayton through a giveaway sponsored by Run.Walk.Repeat.  Don’t you love a giveaway when there is a book involved? Yay!

"Lily the Unicorn" by Dallas Clayton Colorful & fun picture book!

Lily the Unicorn by Dallas Clayton

Lily the Unicorn is a colorful treat for your kiddo’s eyes & a sweet message for their hearts.

The main character, Lily the Unicorn, loves to try & do everything.  She is an explorer, has a wild imagination & a helping heart….I’m sure we all know one sparkling child like this?!?  In the book Lily meets an overly cautious & worried little penguin named Roger.  Lily is the perfect match for Roger to come out of his shell, try new things & find the fun in making a new friend.

The author & illustrator, Dallas Clayton, has filled each page with colorful pictures & hilarious conversation.  He has created the perfect recipe that’ll beckon you to read this book over again and again.  His sense of humor is perfect for any child  or grownup.  Lily the Unicorn is a beautiful picture book that will bring you joy & remind your little reader that the world can be an amazing adventure with a friend by their side.

Our family agrees that Lily the Unicorn would be perfect addition to any children’s bookshelf.  I hope when you snag your copy your family will enjoy it as much as we did ours.

Happy reading & happy “National Read A Book Day”?

I’m so busy I really have time to take a breath let alone read. My son loves the Fly Guy books. My daughter likes to read those Weird School books.

Tamiko, my kids have always liked the Fly Guy books! They are fun! Recently, my youngest has brought home the Weird School Books, too. It is hard to find time to read sometimes. So very important to the development of life-long learners…reading has been a priority for us since before our babies (one now in college! yikes!) popped out of the oven! So many fond memories of family reading time when they were toddlers! I just popped over from NC Bloggers!!! Thanks for sharing!

    • All Inspired Mom September 9, 2015 at 1:55 am

Hey, Lynn! Thank you for stopping by! I’m right there with you…reading is the backbone to learning. I miss those times when we would read to our babies. I need to get back to that night time reading with my kids even though they are big enough to read to themselves. Good times! 🙂
